DIY Marbled Eggs
If you ask anyone in my family, it is no secret that I am slightly obsessed with using navy in my interiors right now--as in the last 4-ish years and still going strong. I know, I have a problem. So, when I came across these gorgeous indigo marbled eggs, you better believe it was love at first sight! I instantly knew those needed to be the center of my Easter decor this year (and for as long as my blue obsession lives on). These little beauts are so easy to make {a bit messy}, and just as amazing as they look! And guess what the magic ingredient is......nail polish! I know right!? A little water, a little blue nail polish and voila--gorgeous, marbled eggs that are sure to steal the show!
Instead of re-writing my own tutorial you can find the one I used here from Alice & Lois. The only thing I did differently was I used real (not hardboiled) eggs. I was too lazy to go the store and buy fake eggs and I wanted to be able to reuse these in the years to come--you know my long lasting blue obsession--so I didn't want to use hardboiled eggs. Instead, I chose to blow out my eggs and then just sealed up the holes with a dot of glue before starting the dying process. It took a little longer to do it that way but it was soooo worth it to me! I mean, check out these undeniably phenomanal eggs! Who would throw them out after you made them?! Anyway, I hope you enjoy and be sure to let me know how it goes for you and as always, post pictures! Happy marbling!
